Are you a Gleek?
It also follows the members as they deal with relationships, sexuality and social issues. The pilot episode was broadcast in May 2009 with the first season airing later that year. Now with three seasons under its belt and season four due to air, the show is a firm favourite drawing massive viewing figures on both sides of the Atlantic. After a live stage concert event that played in four American cities last year, Twentieth Century Fox Television and Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy announced that the Glee cast would travel to England to perform on the stages of London and Manchester in June 2011. The stage production kicked off on 22nd June with two dates at the MEN Arena in Manchester followed by five more dates in June at the O2 Arena in London. The cast then moved to the O2 Arena in Dublin for shows on the 2nd and 3rd of July. The tickets were snapped up fast as you may imagine. Every show was a sell out with ticketing agencies such as Ticketmaster, Viagogo and Seatwave doing a roaring trade as soon as tickets went on sale. Demand was so high that many missed out on seeing this amazing all American all singing all dancing extravaganza. Fans of Glee, known as Gleeks, are hoping that the success of the live shows in the UK this summer will pave the way for further tours by the cast of Glee. Keep your eyes peeled and sign up to the official Glee website to be amongst the first to hear news of any forthcoming tours.
